Aggressor Adventures® Announces New Philippines Liveaboard Adventure

“Must-See, Must-Dive” Destination Begins Operations May 2020

AUGUSTA, Ga.--()--Aggressor Adventures®, a leading adventure travel brand, today announces it will expand its liveaboard offerings with the addition of the Philippines Aggressor, which will begin operating in early May 2020. Hailed as one of the best diving destinations in the world, the Philippines are a part of the unique marine region known as the Coral Triangle, home to the highest coral and habitat diversity in the world.

The 7,641 islands that make up the Philippines are known for their thousands of superb dive sites. Aggressor guests will have access to the area’s most popular sites with the new 135-foot yacht operating year-round and offering guests seven and ten-night itineraries to Tubbataha Reefs National Park and the Visayas/Cebu regions.

“The Philippines is one of the most sought-after diving destinations in the world,” says Aggressor Chairman and CEO Wayne Brown. “I am happy that we have finally found the right licensee and yacht to bring the Aggressor style of diving to this breathtaking diving destination. It took years of evaluating to ensure we brought you the adventure of a lifetime in the Philippines, but it was well worth the wait. We can’t wait for our customers to experience this adventure!”

Aggressor Adventures’ Tubbataha cruise will depart from Puerto Princesa, Palawan. The seven-night journey includes Tubbataha Reefs National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that protects over 350 species of coral and almost 500 species of fish in an area of approximately 100,000 hectares at the center of the Sulu Sea. Whales, dolphins, sharks, turtles and Napoleon wrasse are among the species found here. This healthy reef ecosystem supports legendary diving, and encounters often include hammerhead sharks, manta rays, parrotfish, eels and more. The seven-night Tubbataha itinerary will offer approximately 20 dives.

The Philippines Aggressor will offer several Visayas itinerary options for seven and ten nights departing from the Mactan/Cebu or Dauin/Dumaguete areas. The areas provide opportunities for divers to see thresher sharks, huge schools of sardines, and whale sharks, and Dauin is a photographer’s delight with macro black sands dives. Siquijor Island also boasts endless visibility along soft corals walls. The seven-night Visayas itinerary will offer 22-24 dives, and the ten-night itinerary will offer 32-35 dives.

The Philippines Aggressor liveaboard has 12 staterooms and will accommodate up to 27 guests and 13 staff. Itineraries include daily dives, onboard accommodations, gourmet meals and snacks, and drinks. Reservations for Philippines cruises are currently open for booking.
