Ameriprise Financial Expands Geographic Footprint with New Employee Advisor Offices in Key Markets

The Firm is Attracting Veteran Advisors and Investing in Real Estate in Cities Ripe for Growth

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ameriprise Financial, Inc. (NYSE: AMP) is expanding the geographic footprint of its employee advisor channel by opening new branches in markets where the firm sees opportunities to grow its advisor base and add new clients. Since 2017, Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC has opened 15 new employee branches nationwide in key cities in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Nevada, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin to accommodate experienced advisors joining the firm from wirehouses, regional firms, independents, banks and insurance companies. The 15 new branches collectively manage more than $4 billion in client assets.i

Ameriprise branches provide advisors with local leadership, staff support, training, technology, client acquisition techniques and the ability to leverage the firm’s advice value proposition, which is a catalyst for industry-leading organic growth.ii Ameriprise plans to build on its recent momentum by opening 12 new employee branches in cities where market conditions are right for attracting new advisors and clients.
