Ecolab Launches Innovative Eco-Flex™ Non-Iodine Teat Dip

Utilizes 3-in-1 technology to disinfect, protect and condition teat skin, helping dairy producers meet animal health and milk quality goals

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, food safety and health technologies and services, has introduced Eco-Flex™ Teat Dip, an effective and affordable udder care solution for dairy cows that helps prevent infection, improve teat health and support milk quality.

Eco-Flex Teat Dip is a complete 3-in-1 solution that provides effective disinfection and protection, and can be used as a pre- and post-milking disinfectant and conditioner. This non-iodine teat dip is designed to kill some mastitis-causing strains up to four times faster than iodine treatments, helping improve teat health and promote optimal animal care.

The new triple-active antimicrobial formula found in Eco-Flex combines pelargonic, lactic, and dodecylbenzene sulfonic acids to leverage the synergistic benefits of organic chemistry. This unique combination offers dairy producers and veterinarians an effective clean-and-disinfect udder care treatment.

“Leveraging a proprietary blend of glycerin, sorbitol, lanolin, and propylene glycol, the pre-milking emollient also delivers 4% conditioning while the post-milking emollient delivers 8% conditioning,” added Dr. Joe Morelli, corporate scientist for Ecolab Food & Beverage.

Eco-Flex is available through Ecolab agricultural products distributors. The compact and highly concentrated formula can be diluted at the farm or by an Ecolab distributor, improving product use convenience and flexibility.
