Federman & Sherwood Initiates an Investigation of the Data Breach at PIH Health, Inc.

OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Federman & Sherwood, a boutique litigation law firm that has been appointed counsel in several data breach cases, has initiated an investigation into the data breach at the company PIH Health, Inc., which operates hospitals, urgent care clinics, and medical offices in Southern California. Early last summer, PIH Health discovered that unknown actors gained access to an undisclosed number of employee email accounts as a result of a phishing email campaign. Four months later, PIH Health discovered that the unknown actors had access to the employee email accounts between June 11 and June 18, 2019. The compromised email accounts contained sensitive personal and medical information for thousands of current and former PIH Health patients.
