Building Forensic Accounting Capabilities, Treliant Appoints Eric V. Mazur Managing Director

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eric Mazur has joined Treliant as Managing Director, as the firm builds greater forensic accounting and technology capabilities into its advisory services. Eric has over 29 years of experience working in both the government and private sectors, specializing in computer digital forensic investigations, complex data collections, eDiscovery consulting, and expert witness services.

Phu Nguyen has also joined Treliant’s growing forensics team, as Senior Manager. Phu specializes in transactional data analysis, electronic discovery, and computer forensics, in support of dispute and litigation engagements.

“The digital transformation of financial services, financial crime, and compliance creates a growing need for more and better forensic accounting during corporate and regulatory investigations,” said Treliant Chief Executive Officer B. Scott Fisher. “Eric has a long track record of leadership in computer forensics and will be of invaluable help to clients in discovering and analyzing issues.”

“Modern companies face such a range of challenges including fraud, unauthorized data access, misappropriation of trade secrets, and data manipulation and destruction,” said Eric. “I work with clients to develop the full set of facts and analysis in cases of suspected financial wrongdoing, laying the groundwork for sustainable defenses against future incidents.”

Prior to joining Treliant, Eric was Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations, LLC. His career has also included work on hundreds of investigations while he served as a Detective at the Metropolitan Police Department’s Financial Investigations Unit in Washington, DC. Phu has led computer forensics and litigation support projects in consulting firms, including one of the Big Four accounting firms, for over a decade.
