CIBC Innovation Banking Provides Water Data Management Software Provider, Aquatic Informatics, With $8 Million Growth Capital Financing to Support Expansion

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CIBC Innovation Banking is pleased to announce an $8 million debt financing with Aquatic Informatics Inc., a leader in water data management and analytics. The capital will be used by the company to support growth, including strategic acquisitions.

Aquatic Informatics is revolutionizing the water industry, an increasingly stressed global resource, by providing software solutions that address water data management and analysis challenges. Backed by XPV Water Partners, the company’s software platform is an easy-to-use set of tools that centralizes data, simplifies analysis, automates workflows, predicts issues, shares information, and ensures regulatory compliance. With better water data to analyze, organizations can quickly improve decision making, resulting in a more efficient delivery of safer drinking water.

“We are proud to be working with Vancouver-based Aquatic Informatics, a company driving technological change in the global water management system. Their mission couldn’t be more important, and we are here to help them achieve it,” said Joe Timlin, Managing Director, CIBC Innovation Banking Vancouver.

All Aquatic Informatics solutions are hardware-agnostic in support of its global vision of ‘One Water - One Platform’, enabling communities around the globe to share data to better predict and protect the world’s water supply.

The World Health Organization estimates that more than 800,000 people die each year from unsafe drinking water1, including 300,000 children under five years old2.

“With this timely support from CIBC, Aquatic Informatics will be able to more rapidly extend its global reach in pursuit of our mission: to protect life with timely water information,” said Ed Quilty, CEO, Aquatic Informatics.
