Oral-B® Receives Industry Praise During the Consumer Electronics Show

A CES Innovation Award Honoree, the new Oral-B iO™ received industry awards from leading media outlets, further validating the new electric toothbrush and its superior design, performance and user experience

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oral-B, the industry leader in oral care innovation, unveiled its latest products this week during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Oral-B iO and Oral-B Guide™. The Oral-B iO received high recognition among media, industry analysts and exhibitors in attendance. In addition to being named one of the CES Innovation Award Honorees, the Oral-B iO was also presented with ‘Best of’ awards from Parents Magazine, Refinery29 and Women’s Health.

This year, CES attracted approximately 200,000 attendees from across the globe, and hundreds of them took advantage of the unique opportunity to be among the first to brush with the new Oral-B iO. Participants were guided through an interactive experience in which they tried the toothbrush and received real-time analysis of their brushing routine via the brush’s intuitive visual display, pressure sensor and AI-equipped smartphone app.

“The Oral-B iO is a byproduct of our team painstakingly researching and conceptualizing an innovation that would truly change the way people brush their teeth,” says Steve Bishop, P&G Health Care CEO. “We are thrilled to see the positive response our Oral-B innovations received this week from media, show attendees and other industry leaders, and look forward to their launches later this year.”

When asked about brushing with the Oral-B iO for the first time, one participant said, “Overall, I thought it was an amazing experience. It makes me never want to buy another toothbrush again. Knowing that there’s technology like this out there, why would I settle for anything less?”

Oral-B iO is a power toothbrush series that has been reimagined and redesigned from the inside out, combining best-ever clinical performance with a superior user experience to make it one of the industry’s most advanced brushing products. Delivering a professionally clean feeling every day, Oral-B iO includes five key pillars of design features and experience capabilities, including a linear magnetic drive, superior cleaning action and redesigned brush heads, bimodal smart pressure sensor, smart display with up to seven personalized brushing modes and artificial intelligence tracking via the Oral-B app.

Rounding out Procter & Gamble’s oral care innovations premiered during CES, is Oral-B Guide. Equipped with Amazon’s Alexa, the Oral-B Guide is a power toothbrush system designed for the bathroom environment, providing users with real-time feedback and fitness-tracker-like functionality that tracks brushing performance.

The new Oral-B iO will be available for purchase beginning in August 2020. To learn more and join the VIP list to be among the first to receive it, visit oralb.io.
