BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--New York Times bestselling author Andrew Rea will greet Lawrenceville and Birmingham fans to discuss his new book “Binging with Babish.” Books-A-Million invites guests to join the author for a book signing event on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Sugar Loaf Mills, located at 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway Ste. 321 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Fans can also meet Andrew Rea during his book signing event on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Brookwood Village store located at 757 Brookwood Village in Birmingham, Alabama.
“Binging with Babish” is the highly praised book by Andrew Rea. It’s a refreshing take on the cookbook scene comprised of 100 recipes based on your favorite TV shows or films, such as the babka from the classic Seinfeld episode, the beef bourguignon from Julie & Julia, or the timpano from Big Night. This cookbook includes these and other foodie favorite recipes. Some are so tasty that you’ll want to make them for dinner right away, like Bubba's shrimp from Forrest Gump, while others can be saved for impressing a loved one—like the chocolate lava cake from Jon Favreau’s Chef, which the actor/director (who also wrote the foreword) asked to make during a guest appearance on Rea’s show. Complete with exclusive behind-the-scenes stories and never-seen-before photos, as well as answers to frequently asked fan questions, Binging with Babish is a must-have companion to the wildly popular YouTube show.
“Much like with cooking, we go into the field of storytelling because we want to connect with others on an emotional level... Emotion, memory, and sensation are all intertwined on that rare occasion you hit it right. Andrew not only points his audience to the moments in the film where all of those things come together, but he also shows them how to create these moments in real life.”- Jon Favreau, actor, and director of ‘Jungle Book’ & ‘The Lion King’.
Andrew Rea is one part chef, one part filmmaker, and a generous dash of irreverent YouTube personality. Self-taught both behind and in front of the camera, his cooking show, Binging with Babish, is enjoyed by over 4.8 million burgeoning chefs and foodies around the globe. His passion for teaching and experimenting in the kitchen is rivaled only by his love of film and television, both of which he endeavors to share from his Harlem, NY kitchen.
Each ticket includes a book pre-order that will be distributed at the event upon check-in. Rea will sign books purchased through the Eventbrite ticket link and books purchased at the event store. To attend, guests must purchase a ticket in advance by visiting the Lawrenceville site or the Birmingham site.
