SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--First Republic Bank (NYSE:FRC), a leading private bank and wealth management company, today announced that senior wealth managers Sanah Chung, John Barnes, Joseph P. Lally and J. Joseph Lally have joined First Republic Investment Management.
All four were named Managing Director and Wealth Manager and will provide investment management, retirement planning, investment consulting and other wealth management services to individuals, families, nonprofits and private family foundations. They will be based in Century City, California.

Chung has 30 years of wealth management experience. Prior to joining First Republic, he was a Senior Vice President at UBS Financial Services. Chung began his career at Merrill Lynch and works with clients to develop wealth planning strategies and programs for ultra high net worth families and entrepreneurs. He is active in the community and serves on the board of Southwest Baptist University Athletics Hall of Fame and participates in a mentorship program for the university’s tennis team. Chung is also a regular guest lecturer for University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Marketing from Southwest Baptist University.
Barnes has more than 25 years of wealth management experience. Prior to joining First Republic, he was a Senior Vice President at UBS Financial Services. Before that, he was Senior Vice President, Wealth Management, at Smith Barney and was Vice President, Investments, at Merrill Lynch. Barnes is focused on providing comprehensive financial planning to ultra high net worth families, individuals and entrepreneurs. He is active in the community and is a board member for Alzheimer's Los Angeles. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University.
Joseph P. Lally has more than 22 years of wealth management experience. Prior to joining First Republic, he was a Senior Vice President at UBS Financial Services and was a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. During his career, Lally has specialized in providing comprehensive financial planning to ultra high net worth families and individuals. Active in his local community, he coaches youth athletics and is a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Lally earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from Boston College.
J. Joseph Lally has nearly five decades of wealth management experience. Prior to First Republic, he was a Senior Vice President at UBS Financial Services. Earlier in his career he held executive positions with Hambrecht & Quist, Bateman Eichler Hill Richards and Hornblower & Weeks. During his career, he has focused on the implementation and management of focused equity strategies for ultra high net worth families and individuals. Lally is active in the community and served on the advisory board for The Sisters of the Good Shepard for 20 years, and was President of the advisory board for 10 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Boston College.
