MEDINA, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--It was one year ago that Dominique Moceanu, the youngest gymnast to ever win Olympic gold, unveiled her first-of-its-kind, gymnastics and yoga center in Medina, conveniently located between Akron and Cleveland. The Dominique Moceanu Gymnastics Center (DMGC) featuring Carmen’s Yoga Studio officially opened its doors at 734 N. Progress Drive in Medina, inviting young gymnasts of all skill levels to experience a fun, joyful celebration of the sport that made Moceanu famous.
One year later, DMGC is thriving as a business and as a community gathering place, with hundreds of students – ranging from beginners looking to have some fun to serious high school champions seeking to improve their skills.
As a thank-you to the community and in celebration of a year that has far exceeded expectations, DMGC is offering a weekend of free activities and events, including:

Free Preschool Trial Class (Ages 18 months to 5 years)
Thursday, May 30th - 5:00-6:00pm – See first-hand how fun gymnastics can be for little ones!

Free Open Gym + Yoga (Ages 6 to 18 years)
Friday, May 31st - 7:00-9:00pm – Free open gym to include giveaways, prizes and playing gymnastics themed games! Visitors will also be welcome to experience a relaxing, free yoga class from 8:15-9:00pm. “Just Pizzelle” cookies will also be available as part of DMGC’s first competitive team’s fundraiser.

Chipotle Team Fundraiser
Saturday, June 1st - 4:00-8:00pm - Visit the Medina Chipotle (899 N Court St, Medina, OH 44256) from 4:00-8:00pm and tell them you are with “Team DMGC” so that part of every purchase will go toward supporting the DMGC competitive team!
Moceanu herself can hardly believe that a year has already passed since she opened her dream gym’s doors to the public.
