CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), a worldwide leading resource for continuing medical education (CME), named Emmy Award-winning and New York Times Best-Selling author Derek Hough as the keynote speaker for the 3rd Annual School of Nursing Oncology™. This year’s keynote presentation will take place Friday, August 2, from 4:10 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in California.

Hough is a multitalented entertainer, two-time Emmy Award winner, 9-time Emmy nominee for outstanding choreography and judge for the NBC television series, “World of Dance.” He was a record setting six-time winner on the ABC series “Dancing with the Stars” and has appeared in film, television and stage projects as an actor. He made his feature film debut in “Make Your Move,” and his stage performances include Radio City Music Hall’s Spring Spectacular and the critically acclaimed production of “Footloose,” in which he starred in London's West End. In December of 2016, Hough starred with Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Martin Short and Harvey Fierstein in NBC’s “Hairspray Live!” In August 2014, his memoir “Taking the Lead: Lessons from a Life in Motion” hit stands, ultimately being named to The New York Times best-seller list.
The 3rd Annual School of Nursing Oncology™ is a two-day meeting from August 2- 3 that will provide nurses with the latest updates on key topics in oncology that can be applied in any practice. Expert faculty will discuss patient management strategies as well as the evolving treatment landscape for a variety of different malignancies. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage with oncology experts and share personal challenges they have experienced in their nursing practice. This dynamic conference will utilize a variety of formats to help attendees get the most out of their experience including, a mixture of didactic presentations, interactive discussions and case-based learning opportunities.
