Ferrel, a highly experienced start-up technology entrepreneur who has led companies from founding to successful exit, will be responsible for leading Zacoustic’s global technology and development strategy. Ferrel will work closely with the company’s product and data science teams to drive simplicity, enhanced accuracy, and speed into Zacoustic.

Ferrel comes to Zacoustic with more than 20 years of experience leading software engineering teams within a start-up environment. Mark founded Universata and served as CTO. Acquired in 2011 by HealthPort, Inc., Universata technology enables secure communications between healthcare providers and their customers. Most recently, Ferrel co-founded RecordConnect where he designed and built a scalable and secure healthcare record exchange.
