NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--J. Alexander’s Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: JAX) (the Company), owner and operator of a collection of upscale restaurants in 16 states, has signed a lease to open a new Redlands Grill restaurant in La Cantera Heights, a premier commercial and retail center located approximately 11 miles from downtown San Antonio, TX.
Lonnie J. Stout II, President and Chief Executive Officer of J. Alexander’s Holdings, Inc., said the new Redlands Grill will be located near La Cantera Blvd. and I-10. Plans for the new free-standing restaurant call for approximately 8,350 square feet under roof with seating for 200-225 guests. Approximately 100 full and part time professionals will be employed to operate the restaurant.
The new Redlands Grill restaurant will become the second concept in greater San Antonio owned by J. Alexander’s Holdings, Inc. The first concept operates as a J. Alexander’s restaurant and was opened at 255 East Basse Road in 1997.
“We're pleased to announce plans for our second J. Alexander’s/Grill concept in San Antonio,” Stout said. “This Redlands Grill will be the first developed from-the-ground-up under this concept.” J. Alexander’s Holdings, Inc. operates 12 other upscale Redlands Grill restaurants.
Construction of the new Redlands Grill in San Antonio will begin later this year with opening scheduled for the first half of 2020.
La Cantera Heights is surrounded by luxury retail, entertainment, education, and prominent employers with a regional draw from affluent suburbs of North San Antonio. It offers easy access from the north, south, east and west along I-10 and Loop 1604.
Redlands Grill evolved from the J. Alexander’s concept of upscale casual dining restaurants.
