The American Journal of Managed Care® Announces the Institute for Value-Based Medicine® VB-Onc™ Meeting Taking Place in Chicago

This meeting will focus on the future of the Oncology Care Model and other alternative payment models in oncology

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®), the leading peer-reviewed journal dedicated to issues in managed care, with its Institute for Value-Based Medicine® will host a regional VB-Onc meeting that will provide an overview of the future of the Oncology Care Model (OCM) and advancing alternative payment models in oncology. The meeting will take place on Thursday, April 25, 5:30-9 p.m., at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago in Illinois and will be chaired and moderated by Blase N. Polite, M.D., MPP, FASCO, associate professor of medicine, deputy section chief for clinical operations and executive medical director for Cancer Accountable Care at the University of Chicago Medicine.

They will also gain expert insights into OCM lessons learned from both community and academic settings and the latest payer management and approaches to value-based care.”

  • Jessica Walradt, program manager of value-based care, Northwestern Medicine.
  • Mark A. Walshauser, M.D., FACP, medical oncologist/hematologist, Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois.

The Institute for Value-Based Medicine® offers informative regional series, such as VB-Onc™, that focus on multistakeholder perspectives from oncologists, payers and practice executives.
