Clayton County, Georgia, Launches Tyler Technologies’ EnerGov Solution on Time and on Budget

Tyler’s civic services solution will increase efficiencies and transparency for county

PLANO, Texas--()--Tyler Technologies Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that its industry-leading EnerGov civic services platform is now live in Clayton County, Georgia. The county is using EnerGov’s comprehensive solutions for all permitting and plan review processes, including building, planning and public works. The successful go-live was completed on time and on budget.

Clayton County took an innovative approach in changing its outdated system and replacing it with the user-friendly EnerGov. This new system package will give the county a significant online presence, making it faster, easier and more accessible for citizens to use. In addition, it provides the ability for the county to integrate with its existing financial software, Tyler's Munis® solution.

“We have updated our system within the last year, and we are impressed with the results we have seen thus far,” said Patrick Ejike, community development director for Clayton County. “We understand the feedback we have received from citizens and their needs. EnerGov, our online application submittal portal, helps us achieve a new level of transparency and improved customer service. We want to interact with citizens and develop a more engaged community, and this implementation allows us to do just that.”

With EnerGov in place, Clayton County now will work smarter while investing valuable time into providing excellent customer service to its residents and business community. In addition to EnerGov and Munis, Clayton County currently uses Tyler Cashiering and Tyler Content Manager.

“Clayton County and Tyler demonstrated the commitment and expertise needed for a smooth, successful EnerGov go-live,” said Rusty Smith, general manager of EnerGov. “EnerGov improves operations, creates efficient workflows and integrates departments and agencies. We are pleased to see the staff, business community, and residents of Clayton County receiving benefits from their new system.”

Clayton County has more than 255,000 residents and is included in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, Georgia metropolitan area.
