FTV Capital Announces Investment Team Promotions

Richard Liu named principal; Adam Hallquist and Tyler Krueger promoted to vice president

SAN FRANCISCO & NEW YORK--()--FTV Capital, a sector-focused growth equity investment firm, today announced Richard Liu has been promoted to principal. The firm also announced the promotions of Adam Hallquist and Tyler Krueger to vice president.

Richard Liu joined FTV Capital (FTV) in 2014. Mr. Liu, based in FTV’s New York office, has been actively involved in FTV investments in enterprise technology and tech-enabled services sectors. He is currently a board director at A-LIGN, a leading cybersecurity and compliance solutions firm, and involved in ID.me, a next-generation digital identity technology firm; ReliaQuest, a leading provider of security model management; and Sitehands, a rapidly growing technology marketplace for IT field services. Mr. Liu was also actively involved in FTV’s most recent investment in Egress, a leading provider of data security and compliance software. Before joining FTV, Mr. Liu was a senior associate at TCV. Prior to TCV, Mr. Liu was an investment banking analyst in the technology group at Stifel / Thomas Weisel Partners, and he began his career at CRT Capital. Mr. Liu received a BS in finance from Boston College.

Adam Hallquist joined FTV in 2014. Based in the firm’s San Francisco office, Mr. Hallquist is focused on sourcing, executing and monitoring investments in financial services and payments and transaction processing. Mr. Hallquist is a board observer at Sunlight Financial, a technology-enabled point of sale financing solutions firm, and is involved in Clearent, a payment processing solutions company; Credorax, a cross-border payments processing firm; Riskalyze, a technology platform for financial advisors; True Potential, an integrated technology and wealth management platform for UK financial advisors and clients; and VPay, a B2B total payment solution provider. Prior to joining FTV, Mr. Hallquist was an investment banking analyst at Financial Technology Partners, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions in the payments, securities and software spaces. Mr. Hallquist began his career at Fortress Group, an investment bank focused on the private placement of private equity funds. Mr. Hallquist received a BBA with a concentration in finance and a second major in economics from Emory University.

Tyler Krueger joined FTV in 2014. Mr. Krueger is based in FTV’s San Francisco office, where he is focused on sourcing, executing and monitoring investments in enterprise technology and tech-enabled services. Mr. Krueger was also actively involved in FTV’s most recent investment, Egress. He is involved in the firm’s investments in A-LIGN, ID.me and InvestCloud, a leading provider of financial digital solutions. Prior to joining FTV, Mr. Krueger was an investment banking analyst at Financial Technology Partners, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions in enterprise software, payments, alternative lending and tech-enabled services. Mr. Krueger graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University, receiving his BS in business management with an emphasis in finance.
