ProEquities Expands Professional Development and Business Growth Resources for Women Advisors Through Partnership with The W Source

Strategic Alliance with Top National Networking Organization for Female Professionals to Help Drive Potential Business and Learning Opportunities for Women Advisors

New Partnership Builds on ProEquities Women’s Networking Forum, Creates Additional Women Advisor Coaching and Education Resources for Annual National Conference

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--()--ProEquities, a leading independent financial advisory and brokerage firm and subsidiary of Protective Life Corporation, today announced the expansion of professional networking and business coaching resources for its women financial advisors through a newly formed strategic alliance with The W Source. The relationship builds on the ProEquities broader existing initiatives to expand professional development opportunities for women financial advisors, including the launch of the firm’s Women’s Networking Forum in May 2018.

Christopher Flint, ProEquities President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “We’re excited to kick off our new partnership with The W Source and advance our strategies for creating new opportunities for professional growth among our affiliated women advisors. It is more crucial than ever for the advisor communities affiliated with independent firms such as ours to reflect the demographics of the country’s population. Our relationship with The W Source not only reinforces our commitment to this broader goal, but also helps us further align expertise, coaching and education resources with our women advisors, so they can continue to excel in serving their clients.”

Founded in 2017 and based in Santa Barbara, California, The W Source facilitates the formation of local networking groups encompassing 20-25 members, representing female business professionals across adjacent industries who meet monthly to share knowledge, communicate best practices and potentially generate referrals and other new business opportunities.

The W Source provides each group leader, the chapter head, with a collection of proprietary resources and tools, as well as customized coaching, to help guide their efforts. Under this new partnership, ProEquities-affiliated women advisors will be able to form and lead their own groups.

Hannah Buschbom, Co-Founder of The W Source, said, “We are delighted to partner with ProEquities. For far too long, women advisors have pursued opportunities to make professional connections and expand their referral network, only to get baffled by the experience or frustrated with the number of empty conversations. The W Source has a strong history of creating forums that provide genuine opportunities to grow, learn and share their experiences with like-minded professionals, including independent women financial advisors.”

The partnership with The W Source will complement the mission of the ProEquities Women’s Networking Forum, which offers a forum, both in-person and virtual, to discuss a wide range of practice management topics – such as client acquisition, retention and succession planning. Central to the Women’s Networking Forum is an emphasis on providing information relevant to female advisors across each stage of the business life cycle, from junior advisors on the early stages of their careers, to seasoned industry veterans with a continued business growth runway or advisors with well-established practices who are nearing retirement.

Additionally, the firm’s strategic alliance with The W Source has created new opportunities to introduce new women advisor-focused professional education and development tracks for its annual national conference, APEX, to be held this year in March in Orlando, Florida.

Cristi Meyers, the ProEquities practice management consultant and leader of the Women’s Networking Group, said, “At Protective and ProEquities, we’re very proud to continue to put words into action when it comes to bringing more women into the financial advice profession and actively supporting their business growth. Towards this end, we continue to identify and implement opportunities to bolster our practice management platform as it relates to how we serve women advisors. Our relationship with The W Source is very much a natural extension of the work we’ve already been doing in this area, and we look forward to all that we can achieve together through this partnership.”
