MOBILE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The SSI Group (SSI), a leading provider of revenue cycle, claims management and analytics solutions for the provider and payer markets, names Jay Colfer as their new Chief Operating Officer (COO). His new role will include responsibility for overall client experience including strategy, implementation, support and professional services.
Colfer returns to SSI after serving in the capacity of Chief Growth Officer for the company from 2015 to 2017, with responsibility over sales, marketing and product management. During his previous tenure with the organization, he increased sales and played an integral role in product development. In his time away from the company, Colfer served as Chief Revenue Officer for Accela and Interim Chief Executive Officer for Acorn Credentialing Solutions.

Colfer brings over 25 years of healthcare information technology experience to SSI. In addition to his previous positions with SSI, Accela and Acorn Credentialing Solutions, Colfer has held executive sales roles at Surgical Information Systems, Eclipsys (now Allscripts) and McKesson. Colfer graduated from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif. with a degree in Health Services Administration.
