Ology Bioservices Appoints Vaccines and Biologics Manufacturing Industry Veteran, Brandon Brega, as Chief Operating Officer

ALACHUA, Fla.--()--Ology Bioservices, Inc., a biologics contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), announced today the appointment of vaccines and biologics manufacturing industry expert, Brandon Brega, to the position of Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. In this newly created position, Brandon will lead manufacturing and operations at the company’s 183,000 square foot Department of Defense Advanced Development and Manufacturing (ADM) facility in Alachua, Florida.

With over 20 years of experience, including, plant management and technical operations, Brandon will apply his skills to further expand our capabilities in cGMP manufacturing and facility operations,” stated Peter H. Prior to joining Ology Bioservices, Mr. Brega served in various positions at Merck & Co., most recently as Associate Vice President, Plant Management at the company’s Durham, North Carolina location – the largest vaccines-only facility in Merck’s network. Prior to joining Merck, Mr. Brega worked for a number of animal health manufacturers including Pfizer Inc., Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Boehringer Ingelheim and Merial Ltd., leading operations and technical organizations in the production of vaccines, biologics and sterile injectables. He has broad base of experience with both drug substance and drug product manufacturing across both small and large molecules.

Mr. Brega holds both a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Arts in Management from Doane University and earned a Masters Certification in Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University.
