Mark Lev Named President of Fenway Sports Management

BOSTON--()--Fenway Sports Management (FSM) today announced that Mark Lev has been named President, effective immediately. In his new role, Lev is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, and growth of FSM and all its business units. He will continue to report to Sam Kennedy. Lev previously held the title of Managing Director, a position to which he was appointed in 2015.

Mark joined the team when FSM was more of a concept than a company,” said Red Sox President and CEO Sam Kennedy. “His appointment as FSM President is a reflection of the organization’s strong current state, which he has been instrumental in building over the past fifteen years. It is a privilege to hand over the reins to such a capable leader.”

There is nothing more gratifying than seeing a company grow and succeed, and being part of each phase of that progression,” said FSM President Mark Lev. “I am honored to be leading such an amazing and talented group of individuals who have made this company what it is today. I look forward to building on the success we have achieved in this new phase for FSM.”

Lev has more than 25 years of experience in sports marketing, beginning his career with the Boston Celtics after graduating from the University of Vermont. He then took a role with ANC Sports Enterprises where he served as Executive Vice President for six years. He was hired by FSM in 2005 – one of the first members of its leadership team after the company’s creation in 2004.

Through the years, Lev has been involved with many of FSM’s major business deals, including its unique relationship with NBA superstar LeBron James through a strategic partnership with his sports marketing company, LRMR. He has been instrumental in securing many high profile sponsorship deals for Fenway Sports Group-owned properties, including Warrior Sports’ then record-setting Kit deal with Liverpool Football Club, which marked the U.S.-based company’s expansion into the global sports sponsorship arena. Lev has also played an integral role in bringing many major special events to Fenway Park, such as Football at Fenway, Hurling and Irish Festival, Polartec Big Air, Citi Frozen Fenway, and the upcoming Red Bull Crashed Ice.

The Swampscott, MA, native currently resides in Brookline, MA.
