James Campbell Company Hires Arndt Nicklisch as CIO

HONOLULU--()--James Campbell Company, a private, Hawaii-based, nationally diversified real estate company with holdings and assets in Washington D.C. and 13 states across the U.S. including California, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin, has hired Arndt Nicklisch as chief investment officer (CIO).

Mr. Nicklisch brings extensive experience in acquisitions and investments in all property types and in major markets across the U.S. As CIO, he is responsible for overseeing new investments as well as dispositions and will be based in the company’s San Francisco office.

Most recently, Mr. Nicklisch was senior vice president at Amstar, a real estate private equity investment manager, responsible for sourcing acquisition and development opportunities across the U.S. Before joining Amstar in 2017, he was a founding partner of American Eagle Capital Partners in New York, where he advised international institutional investors on U.S. real estate investments; director–acquisitions at Colony Capital, overseeing New York City Tri-State area and other major markets in the U.S.; project manager in the development group at Boston Properties, responsible for development and acquisition projects in the greater Boston area; senior associate for acquisitions at Transwestern Investment Company (now Pearlmark Real Estate Partners) in Chicago; and an assistant project manager at Bovis Lend Lease (now Lend Lease) in New York.

Mr. Nicklisch holds an engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a full member and product council member of the Urban Land Institute.
