NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Varagon Capital Partners (“Varagon”) today announced that Michael Broderick has joined the firm as Managing Director of Healthcare Originations. In this role, he will be responsible for originating and structuring transactions for middle market private equity firms in the Healthcare sector. Previously, Mr. Broderick originated debt, equity co-investments and banking opportunities with Capital One’s private equity clients. Mr. Broderick will be based in New York and report to Steve Warden, Partner and Head of Healthcare at Varagon.

Prior to Capital One, Mr. Broderick oversaw the healthcare sponsor finance team for CapitalSource. He began his career at GE Capital where he held various positions within the healthcare and sponsor finance teams. Mr. Broderick earned a B.A. degree from College of the Holy Cross and an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
