AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hanger, Inc. (NYSE: HNGR), a leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic patient care services and solutions, announced it will ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today, Nov. 12, 2018, in celebration of Veterans Day.
Hanger's history dates back more than 155 years when its founder, the first amputee of the American Civil War, invented the first articulating prosthetic knee joint, and was then commissioned by the government to provide prosthetic limbs to other wounded soldiers.
