LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today at Capacity Europe 2018, CMC Networks and 128 Technology announced the availability of a new SD-WAN service delivered by CMC Networks, C-RAN powered by 128 Technology. The offering is targeted at large multinational companies and offers greater quality, reliability and security than other SD-WAN offerings on the market.
128 Technology announced its initial deployment with CMC Networks in South Africa in August, with the intention of extending services to additional countries in the coming year. C-RAN powered by 128T, featuring the 128 Technology Session Smart™ Router, will be sold in South Africa together with Redvine Networks and through carrier partners in the Middle East and other countries in Africa. With the 128T Session Smart™ Router at the core of the offering C-RAN powered by 128T will provide end-to-end guaranteed SLAs to various countries reducing the need for expensive international leased lines (IPLC). The Session Smart™ Router, provides all SD-WAN capabilities without tunnels and overlays, resulting in 20 to 40 percent bandwidth saving that is extremely important in regions like Africa, where bandwidth is expensive and scarce.
“Large international organizations need a strong solution that is reliable, secure, flexible and resists frequent network interruptions,” said Geoff Dornan, CTO, CMC Networks. “We are pleased to bring an offering to market that meets those needs – by partnering with 128 Technology and Redvine, we can improve operation quality for many.”
“This new SD-WAN offering with CMC Networks is a potential game-changer for key markets in the Middle East and Africa,” said Andy Ory, CEO of 128 Technology. “In the short time since our initial deployment with CMC, we have seen strong growth culminating in a new offering that makes our Session Smart™ Router more accessible for businesses in several new geographies.”
The offering will be showcased at Capacity Europe 2018, the largest carrier event in Europe. Visit stand 91 to find out more on this exciting product. The event takes place October 22-25 in London, with more than 650 companies and 2,500 executives from 90 countries attending.
