MAeHC Selected by MassHealth to Provide Technical Assistance to ACOs

Massachusetts-based Non-Profit Awarded a Master Contract with New State Program to Help Accountable Care Organizations Improve Care Outcomes and Achieve Cost Savings

WALTHAM, Mass.--()--The Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative (MAeHC), a firm that works alongside providers to support the meaningful adoption of health IT, today announced that it has been selected to provide technical assistance to MassHealth Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and community partners. MAeHC was awarded a master contract by the MassHealth Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) technical assistance (TA) program, which is a new initiative that aims to support ACOs and Community Partners (CPs) in improving health outcomes and experience for Medicaid patients throughout Massachusetts.

MAeHC was chosen to provide support across all nine domains of the program, including:

  • Strategies for value-based payments
  • Care coordination/integration
  • Community-based care and social determinants of health
  • Consumer engagement
  • Flexible services
  • Health information technology / health information exchange
  • Performance improvement
  • Population health management
  • Workforce development / training

To provide this assistance, MAeHC will draw from its successful track record of integrating with ACOs and years of experience in ACO clinical quality reporting. MAeHC will also partner with Cognizant, a provider of digital-driven solutions, on the financial aspects of the TA program to offer ACOs an end-to-end technology solution.

“Massachusetts is taking a giant leap forward in its effort to support ACOs, and we’re thrilled to be selected to help administer this new program,” said Micky Tripathi, President and CEO of Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative. “We’re already a trusted technology partner to many ACOs in the state, and we’re excited that this program gives ACOs a way to fund new projects to increase efficiency, make care more affordable and improve care outcomes for their members.”

As part of the MassHealth DSRIP TA program, an online marketplace has been created to help MassHealth ACOs and CPs easily search for, request and secure technical assistance. The MA DSRIP Technical Assistance Marketplace (TA Marketplace) was created by MassHealth, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program, and contractor Abt Associates Inc. (Abt). The TA Marketplace serves to enable MassHealth ACOs and CPs to easily navigate and tap into the array of resources and supports available to them through the MassHealth DSRIP TA Program. It is through the TA Marketplace that ACOs and CPs can learn more about the TA Vendors available to them through this program.
