SAN FRANCISCO & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Clarify Health Solutions, Inc., a pioneer in machine learning-enabled care optimization, announced today that Kara Dennis has been appointed SVP and GM of Life Sciences. Dennis will be responsible for spearheading the Company’s new business division, leading the development of new offerings to provide insight for biopharmaceutical companies as they develop and market new therapies and treatments.
Building on momentum from Clarify Health’s Series B funding round in which the Company raised $57 million, this division will focus on closing the data gap to improve patient outcomes for emerging therapies and personalized medicine.
Prior to joining Clarify Health, Dennis was managing director of mobile health at Medidata Solutions, an industry-leading provider of SaaS solutions to the Life Sciences R&D industry, where she was responsible for the creation of a comprehensive offering in mobile health. Dennis led an experienced team to create, deliver and scale the offering, which included technologies for patent engagement and for the integration of wearable sensor data into clinical trials. Under her guidance, her team led the acquisition of a complementary cloud software company in 2017, growing her client base to include several top ten pharmaceutical companies and over a dozen of the top 50 largest companies, in addition to biotech and medical device organizations. Before Medidata, Dennis spent four years in McKinsey & Co's healthcare practice, and subsequently worked in corporate development for Ikaria, a private-equity backed biotech since acquired by Mallinckrodt.
