Ventas Retains Sustainability Leadership Position in Prominent Global Rankings

Ranked #1 Healthcare REIT by GRESB, Listed on Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index

CHICAGO--()--Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) has retained its sustainability leadership position as ranked by two prominent global ESG (environment, social, governance) benchmarking organizations, GRESB and the Dow Jones Sustainability™ North America Index (DJSI).

For the second consecutive year, Ventas retained the #1 position among the three listed healthcare real estate company participants in the GRESB real estate ESG assessment. Ventas performed in the top 30% of all GRESB participants, which includes 874 public and private real estate companies around the world. Ventas retained its Green Star designation for the fifth straight year and its “A” ranking, the highest possible score, on the GRESB Public Disclosure Assessment.

The Company was also included in the DJSI North America for the second consecutive year, improving its overall score and ranking in the top 20% of publicly traded real estate industry participants across a broad spectrum of ESG metrics.
