Music Streaming App ‘Music Messenger’ Launching Game Changing Update in October

TEL AVIV, Israel--()--Music Messenger, the popular free music streaming app, is working on a ‘game changing’ update for its flagship product due for release in mid-October 2018.

Founded in 2014, the company had successfully raised $24.4 million to pursue developments in music streaming technology. The team has been working behind the scenes with the help of key figures from the music industry (such as will.i.am, Nicki Minaj, David Guetta) to produce a non-subscription based, high performance version coming in October.

Music Messenger utilizes the YouTube API for content and stream, so if you like YouTube’s vast music library, but not a fan of their ease of use as a mobile experience, you’re going to enjoy the new version tremendously. In a statement from the company, “As wonderful as Spotify and Apple Music are, we still find ourselves on YouTube more hours per week. Music Messenger is a fresh and easier way to enjoy the YouTube music library, and the new update coming is going to really be a game changer for any user who likes YouTube.”

Music Messenger is also exploring a blockchain infrastructure to make sure artists get paid, and find a more appealing way for users to enjoy music without the lock-in monthly subscription model.
