Tyler Technologies to Provide Public Safety Solutions to Summit County Consortium in Ohio

Tyler to provide New World public safety software to 26 agencies through consolidation

PLANO, Texas--()--Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that it has signed an agreement with the Summit County Consortium in Ohio for a full suite of Tyler’s public safety solutions, including: New World public safety computer-aided dispatch (CAD); Enterprise Records Management System (RMS); Fire Records (RMS); Police and Fire Mobile; Field Reporting; New World CrewForce® ; New World ShieldForce; and Brazos eCitation solutions. The agreement extends to six public safety answering points (PSAPs) for the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and the cities of Green, Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Fairlawn, and Akron.

Through the agreement, Tyler will provide its New World public safety solutions to 26 agencies served by the six PSAPs in Summit County. The Summit County Consortium was looking for a solid, stable platform to elevate their public safety software and create efficiencies through consolidation. The cities of Stow and Cuyahoga Falls were already Tyler clients and familiar with the reliability and comprehensive nature of its public safety solutions.

“Tyler Technologies offered our communities a solid platform to dramatically improve our dispatch operations. With a strong track record of reliability already established with some of our partnering cities, Tyler was a stand-out choice. We are confident that the solutions Tyler will provide will ensure safe and efficient dispatch throughout Summit County,” said Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro.

The Summit County Consortium worked closely with MCM Consulting Group, Inc. to evaluate potential vendors that would meet the needs of all six PSAPs, which answer approximately 665,000 services calls each year. MCM Consulting was impressed by Tyler’s robust solutions and their features and functionality, which would fully integrate each PSAP’s respective systems, creating efficiencies between all agencies.

“Using Tyler’s full product suite will greatly improve situational awareness, officer safety, and efficiency. I am looking forward to assisting in the implementation of these products and the interfaces that will extend these efficiencies across even more software platforms used within Summit County,” said Jason Roblin, senior consultant, MCM Consulting Group.

By implementing Tyler’s public safety solutions within all 26 agencies, it will create more seamless data sharing, and dispatch calls will be easily transferred between agencies. With the inclusion of Brazos eCitation, agencies will have information about mobile citations at their fingertips through the RMS, and the solution will be able to send information to the state as needed. Additionally, applications like New World CrewForce will allow first responders to have immediate access to information on the scene of an emergency, so they can respond quickly and safely.

“We’re pleased to be working with the Summit County Consortium on this comprehensive implementation, which will benefit more than 500,000 citizens in the county,” said Greg Sebastian, president of Tyler’s Public Safety Division. “We’re confident that Tyler’s public safety solutions will scale appropriately to meet the needs of each PSAP and bring efficiency, seamless information sharing, and increased safety to each agency.”

Summit County is located in northeast Ohio and is the fourth-most populous county in the state. Tyler also provides its Eagle Recorder solution to Summit County.
