Unique Connection Drives JASK to Partner with PGA Tour Golfer Bryson DeChambeau

No. 22 Ranked Player’s Innovative Approach to Game Mirrors Core Mission of Analytics-Driven Cybersecurity Startup

SAN FRANCISCO & AUSTIN, Texas--()--JASK, the provider of the industry’s first Autonomous Security Operations Center (ASOC) platform, today announced it has signed an agreement to sponsor PGA Tour golfer Bryson DeChambeau – one of the tour’s most innovative minds known for his unconventional, and effective, approach to mastering the game of golf.

DeChambeau is known as the “Mad Scientist” on the tour because of his practical application of math and physics to simplify the golf swing. He is the only professional golfer that uses a single - or one-plane - swing. As a result, he does not adjust his setup to fit different size clubs as other top golfers do, which makes the motion easier to perfect through a consistent approach. This is made possible because his irons are all the same length, reducing the variables of the swing and making it more efficient and effective.

“Bryson’s innovative, mathematical approach to modernize golf mirrors our core mission at JASK to modernize security operations. Our interest in sponsoring him is to represent the positive impact of thinking differently to progress traditional approaches,” said Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Marketing Officer of JASK. “Just as Bryson is approaching the game differently by adjusting his clubs to consistently shoot low golf scores, we’re applying artificial intelligence and machine learning in a unique way to provide security analysts with the most actionable, advanced insights into threats that is possible.”

Currently ranked the twenty-second best golfer in the world, and sixth in the FedEx Cup standings, DeChambeau graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2014 with a degree in physics, which influenced his decision to approach golf differently. He proved to be one of the most successful NCAA players and turned pro in 2016, earning long-term sponsorships with Cobra-Puma Golf and Cylance. He has won three tournaments to date as a professional: the 2016 DAP Championship (Web.com Tour), the 2017 John Deere Classic (PGA Tour) and the 2018 Memorial Tournament (PGA Tour).

"I am honored and excited to be partnering with JASK, an innovative company that is looking to transform security operations by making technology support how analysts work,” said DeChambeau. “By applying an analytic approach to golf, I am working in a way that best supports my game and believe in the potential to change traditional methods. We’re a great match, and I look forward to our successful partnership to show the world that applying math to the proper use cases can make what we do much more effective and efficient.”
