PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Forza Silicon (www.forzasilicon.com), a leader of advanced image sensor and mixed-signal IC designs for digital camera applications, today announced that its president, Barmak Mansoorian, will present at the 2018 Design Automation Conference (DAC) in San Francisco, California, on June 26, 2018.
Barmak Mansoorian is invited to present a paper titled “Building an IP Bridge Between Image Sensor Design and Applications.” The presentation highlights the major IP blocks in an image sensor and discusses the varying levels of IP re-use in custom image sensor (CIS) design. He will address how the optical system drives the entire process and what possible solutions and tradeoffs there are to increase the level of IP re-use.
“This is a great honor to be speaking about this topic to a global audience as Forza continues to develop new IP in the CIS design process,” said Dr. Barmak Mansoorian. “IP re-use techniques are introduced to handle the size and complexity of image sensor designs albeit not without performance limitations in certain applications.”
DAC is a premier conference for design and automation of electronic systems (EDA), embedded systems (ESS), and intellectual property (IP). This five-day event brings together a diverse community of engineers, designers, managers, executives, and researchers for knowledge sharing and networking.
