FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CommCreative, a leading unified marketing agency, today announced the Factory Mark Gallery’s newest exhibit, Interventions, which features the work of sculptural artist Meghan Caveney. Caveney uses raw, man-made material such as paper and wire to create works inspired by minimalism and objects in their natural, original forms. The exhibit features sculptures not only made from basic materials, but also made to appear as both natural forms and objects that have been recycled.
“Meghan is a gifted artist, and we are very excited to have her work displayed at the gallery,” said Lisa McCarthy, agency principal at CommCreative. “Interventions is a truly unique art experience, and I know our entire team will appreciate the various themes and mediums she uses in her work. We cannot wait to hear the reactions of our clients and visitors when they come in and view these amazing pieces.”
Caveney received her BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, in addition to a second major in biology at Tufts University, in 2016. Inspired by her background in biology as well as engineering, her work brings concepts of the minimalist art movement together with environmental issues, such as the need to preserve and repurpose discarded materials.
“Being featured in the Factory Mark Gallery is a wonderful opportunity,” said Caveney. “My concern as an artist is to pay as much respect to the life of the media I use as possible. The physical remnants of these works will far outlast anyone’s understanding of them. How I use the materials and what I do with them is entirely up to me, and reflects only my own character.”
The Factory Mark Gallery, which is located within CommCreative’s offices, will also feature the works of local artist Kathryn Gearon, in an exhibit called Imagined Landscapes. Gearon’s paintings, which will be displayed in the Machine Shop gallery annex, are described as “atmospheric dreamscapes that depict interior and exterior scenarios in architecture.”
