Barnhart to Purchase Idaho-based Strate Line, Inc.

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--()--Barnhart and Strate Line, Inc., a crane service based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, have reached a definitive agreement under which Barnhart will purchase Strate Line.

Strate Line offers operated hydraulic cranes from 30 tons to 175 tons and operates in Idaho, Montana and Washington State. The purchase will expand Barnhart’s ability to serve commercial, civil and heavy industrial customers in the Northwestern Region. Barnhart will maintain all of Strate Line’s current assets and employees, but will manage operations primarily from its current Spokane, Washington, branch location.

“Strate Line is a strong company with a culture that is rooted in serving the customer in the safest, most expeditious and economical way. They have become a valuable resource for customers in this region. We are excited about integrating the Strate Line people and their culture into the Barnhart family. It is our intention to continue that can-do culture. This move is a very positive change for everyone,” said David Webster, Northwest Regional Director of Barnhart and an Idaho resident. “This acquisition will allow us to continue to provide the services customers expect from Strate Line while also providing a broader range of solutions. These wider service options could help customers lower their overall costs on many projects. We think folks will be excited about that.”

Webster said that through Barnhart’s coast-to-coast branch network, customers have access to some of the nation's most innovative rigging systems, cranes to almost 1,800 tons, wind turbine up-tower services, Project Cargo Logistics capabilities, and a department of more than 60 engineers.

Barnhart is one of America's leading lifting and logistics contractors. With a current network of nearly 50 facilities, Barnhart provides world-class service through a local presence. Operated crane rental, rigging services, outage planning, specialized solutions for component replacement, industrial storage and national project cargo logistics all combine to ensure Barnhart’s customers receive the lowest total project cost. Barnhart also boasts one of the largest engineering teams in the industry—including a full R&D department—driving innovation across all services. Barnhart is a U.S. company headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.
