FileShadow Cloud File Assurance Service Announces Adobe Creative Cloud Support

ORLANDO, Fla.--()--Photoshop World 2018—In a move that signals a significant expansion of the FileShadow Cloud File Assurance Service, FileShadow today announces support for Adobe Creative Cloud Storage. In addition to support for all popular cloud file systems, FileShadow’s file archiving and protection service will support archiving of Adobe Creative Cloud files to the IBM Cloud with IBM Cloud Object Services (COS). The FileShadow Service delivers “11 Nines” of durability for the Creative Cloud Assets, providing the assurance that assets stored on Adobe Creative Cloud are “available for a lifetime,” company executives said.

Tyrone Pike, President and CEO of FileShadow, remarked, “Our team has had great success working with Creative Cloud APIs delivered through Adobe’s developer platform, Adobe I/O. Our Cloud File Assurance Service now supports the Adobe Creative Cloud Storage platform. With this support, we can deliver complete cloud-to-cloud file protection for the Adobe content creator market.”

Pike noted that by using IBM Cloud Object Storage, the FileShadow vault spans three U.S. regions, including the East Coast (Virginia), Central (Texas) and West Coast (California), to eliminate the vulnerability of a single data center and delivers “11 Nines” of durability.

According to Pike, “This level of durability is unmatched, allowing Adobe Creative Cloud customers to rest assured their data is instantly accessible and also fully protected off-site.”

In addition, FileShadow’s file assurance service for Drobo is fully integrated with customers’ cloud storage on Adobe Creative Cloud as well as Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive and One Drive for Business, providing a single cloud application for access to a consolidated catalog of files from on-site Drobo storage and Adobe Creative Cloud storage.

FileShadow does not replace Drobo, Adobe Creative Cloud storage or other cloud storage vendors. Instead, it assures immediate searchability, availability and protection of the files within all of these sources by archiving each generation of every file. The service creates extensive searchable metadata on each file, its content and location (GPS) as well as Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and vision tags for scanned images.

“FileShadow uses Creative Cloud platform APIs to provide their users with access to their assets and notifications on updates to those assets, directly in the FileShadow environment, making for a seamless experience using Creative Cloud tools and FileShadow together,” said Drew Endick, Platform Partnerships Manager at Adobe. “The integration brings the benefit of FileShadow to creative workflows and Adobe customers.”

Phil Buckellew, General Manager, IBM Cloud Object Storage, said, “Working with the FileShadow team is a great opportunity to work together with our joint customers. They bring a deep understanding of Adobe’s Creative Cloud Storage coupled with a long-term knowledge of the IBM's Cloud Object Storage architecture. The result is an innovative archiving service that supports NAS and Cloud Object Storage in a single model resulting in protection for files, both on-site and in the cloud.”

FileShadow Service is available free of charge through September 30, 2018.
