Aqua Data Studio Releases Version 19, Receives High Marks in Customer Survey

Latest version of leading database productivity tool includes improved visual analytics and expanded platform support

HOUSTON--()--Aqua Data Studio by AquaFold (a division of Idera, Inc.), a provider of cross-platform database productivity tools, today announced the release of version 19 along with global customer survey results revealing that 93% of organizations have improved their ability to compare and sync between databases since using Aqua Data Studio.

AquaFold continues to enhance Aqua Data Studio and the latest version includes flexible configurations for the docking framework, improved visual analytics, and expanded platform support. These updated features allow Aqua Data Studio users to customize, filter and refine their analytics charts and leverage increased functionality for MongoDB, Hive, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery and other databases. To learn more about the new features, join a live demonstration on May 9th at 1:00 pm CDT.

Independent research firm TechValidate surveyed AquaFold customers in a variety of industries, including financial services, healthcare, education, telecommunications, agriculture and retail. The results also showed that while key selection criteria include support for multiple database platforms, adoption of cloud databases is still slow, with 59% of respondents noting less than 10% of their databases are deployed in the cloud.

Relational databases continue to be the dominant database platform deployed by the majority of organizations using Aqua Data Studio, with 98% confirming they use databases such as Oracle, SQL Server and Sybase. In significantly smaller numbers, relational cloud-based platforms (23%), NoSQL/big data platforms (22%) and document databases (17%) round out the top four.

More than 50% of respondents cite the top challenges they looked to solve by adding AquaFold to their organization as collecting data from queries and putting it in useful formats for evaluation and analysis. Others included managing a complex database environment with multiple database platforms (52%); comparing and synchronizing data and schema objects between databases (39%); and simplifying and automating admin tasks to focus on other work (30%).

Since using Aqua Data Studio, 98% of respondents had visible improvements in creating, editing and executing queries, while 95% experienced improvements in analyzing data from query results.
