MEDELLIN, Colombia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Celsia, an energy subsidiary of Grupo Argos, has selected Accenture (NYSE: ACN) to implement SAP S/4HANA® to help improve functions for 10 utility subsidiaries in Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica and Honduras that generate and distribute electricity across Latin America. The solution will help simplify and increase efficiency of data integration for Celsia’s finance, controller, logistics, purchasing, maintenance, quality and finance consolidation functions.
Using SAP S/4HANA, 28 power plants will be integrated in a full preventive maintenance program that allows proactive supervision and management of assets, including budgeting, execution and fixed assets capitalization. As a result, plant operations can be streamlined, helping reduce operational risk and expenses. Accenture is managing the implementation of SAP S4/HANA to help Celsia harmonize and simplify its business processes with a digital solution that addresses current demands and positions the company for future growth opportunities.
“Dynamic conditions of the electric power industry in Central America and South America require a flexible solution that we can quickly scale to ensure we are always ahead of the game to better meet the needs of our customers and other stakeholders,” said Claudia Salazar, HR & IT leader at Celsia. “Working with Accenture, we are building the new system within budget in time, scope and cost.”
Beatriz Carmona, Technology Lead for the Hispanic South America region and Client Account Lead for Grupo Argos, added: “This project creates an intelligent, cost-effective platform for Celsia that simplifies its business processes and provides a modern foundation for continuous improvements and for their digital transformation journey. We are especially proud of our collaboration with Celsia across different countries and achieving on-time project delivery.”
