NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transportation technology provider CharterUP today announced its National Scholarship for Immigrants and Refugees. The financial award recognizes the accomplishments and achievements of refugees and immigrants in search of the American Dream.
The winner of the scholarship will receive $10,000 for one academic year. To be eligible, applicants must be born outside of the U.S. and currently enrolled (or accepted) as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
CharterUP, a transportation technology provider that recently launched in New York City, is offering this financial award as part of their belief that cultural diversity and opportunity are what make our U.S. society and economy thrive.
The Director of Communications at CharterUP, Mike Bielenberg, says that this scholarship has the opportunity to change the life of an immigrant or refugee.
“We’re investing in the kind of dreams and aspirations that America was founded upon,” Bielenberg explains. “CharterUP is in the business of taking people where they want to go, and we can’t think of a more profound way to do that than to help a student achieve their goals.”
Along with their most recent transcript showing a weighted GPA of 3.4 or greater, scholarship applicants must submit a written essay that declares a personal vision and demonstrates the potential to achieve that vision.
