SA Photonics Exhibits April 9-11 at Navy FST 2018 in National Harbor, MD

LOS GATOS, Calif.--()--SA Photonics will bring its innovative free space optical (FSO) communications systems and high resolution, wide field of view head mounted display systems to the 2018 Navy Forum for SBIR/STTR Transition (FST), co-located with Sea-Air-Space. FST is an exhibition for small businesses with Navy SBIR/STTR contracts in the same venue as the larger Sea-Air-Space exposition of prime contractors. SA Photonics will display terrestrial, space and marine FSO hardware, and have demonstrations of wide field of view optical see-through augmented reality (AR) head/helmet mounted displays (HMDs). Visit booth #151 or contact us below to schedule a meeting. FST and Sea-Air-Space run from April 9-11 at the Gaylord National Convention Center, in National Harbor, Maryland.

Among the varied FSO products SA Photonics produces, Nexus™ 10G, SkyLight™ and StabiLight™ will be on display at FST. Nexus™ 10G is SA Photonics’ terrestrial FSO system, designed for 10 Gbps transfer rates at up to 5 km. SkyLight™ is a satellite communications system operating from cubesats, while StabiLight™ is a sonobuoy-based bidirectional terminal for naval ASW and other mobile platforms.

The HMDs at FST are designed for airborne and ground training and simulation applications, and have full color resolutions of 1920 x 1200 per eye and fields of view (FOV) from 62 to 92 degrees. Demonstration highlights will include a new high brightness OLED-based AR display for outdoor conditions, an SA-92/S AR HMD and an SA-62/SM AR eyewear displaying imagery from a Samsung S5 smartphone overlaid with the real world.

SA Photonics does custom designs and custom mounting for all its products. Please stop by booth #151 for demonstrations and more information. More information on FST and Sea-Air-Space exhibitions can be found at www.navyfst.com and www.seaairspace.org.
