SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--Western Digital Corp. (NASDAQ: WDC) today announced that Lori Sundberg has joined the company as chief human resources officer, effective today. Sundberg will report to Western Digital CEO Steve Milligan and lead key global human resources initiatives and people strategies to support Western Digital’s ongoing transformation as the world’s leading data technology company. She will succeed Jackie DeMaria, who is retiring after a successful 13-year tenure with Western Digital.

Sundberg brings more than 20 years of experience in developing and aligning HR strategy with business needs. She most recently served as senior vice president, Global Human Resources at Jacobs, a global provider of technical, professional and construction services with more than 50,000 employees worldwide. Earlier in her career, Sundberg advanced through a series of HR leadership roles at American Express and served as senior vice president, Human Resources and Ethics at Arizona Public Services Company, the largest electric utility in Arizona.

Sundberg holds a bachelor of science degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University. She will be based at Western Digital’s global headquarters in San Jose, California.
