SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Amid much fanfare and rising popularity, Roblox, the most popular entertainment platform for play, announced the winners of the 5th Annual Bloxy Awards. The 2017 breakout hit Jailbreak took home more than 10 awards, including Title of the Year, at the annual event which was broadcast to the Roblox community on February 17, 2018. This year’s event has already been viewed more than 1,000,000 times. More than 5,000 members of the Roblox community bought virtual tickets for the event, which sold out in just over 24 hours. Their avatars packed a special online theater to view the awards program.
The Roblox community published 11 million titles in 2017, with more than 1,500 generating 1+ million visits during the year. MeepCity, first released in February 2016, was the first Roblox game to pass 1 billion visits, reaching the milestone in late January 2018.
