Hytera Introduces Low-Power Mobile Radios for Agriculture, School Buses, and Fleet Operators on a Budget

IRVINE, Calif. & MIRAMAR, Fla.--()--A major concern for vehicle fleet operators is to provide digital mobile radios for the entire fleet at a reasonable cost. To address this concern, Hytera, the leading global provider of innovative Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) communications solutions, introduces two digital mobile radios – the MD612 and the MD622 – for conventional fleet operators such as agriculture, school systems, taxi fleets, delivery services, and ambulance companies.

"These new radios are a great option for conventional system fleets with tight budgets that still want advanced digital features such as User Alias, Pseudo Trunking, Bluetooth and GPS location services," said Kevin Nolan, Marketing Director for Hytera. "The feature sets and price point make the MD612 and the MD622 perfect for conventional fleets. Single channel systems using pseudo trunk operation will maximize the capacity of their single FCC license. For example: the distribution center can now outfit their forklifts with a small mobile radio while enabling maintenance crews to use the same channel. School districts with large fleets and small budgets can split their VHF channel in two, giving them voice and automatic vehicle location at a reasonable price."

Featuring UHF and VHF operation, clear and crisp digital audio, RF output power up to 45 watts, analog and digital modes, single remote and dual control head capability, Bluetooth and optional GPS, the smooth migration from analog to digital. The MD612 has 4 programmable buttons on the front panel, while the MD622 has 2 programmable buttons. Both radios are compliant with the IP54 and MIL-STD-810 G standards to ensure outstanding performance in harsh environments.

Hytera will be showing the MD612 Digital Mobile Radio in booth #1518 at the World Ag Expo 2018, February 13 to 15 at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, California.
