OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A.M. Best has announced that the 2017 statement-year Supplemental Rating Questionnaire (SRQ) will be available for completion through the Client Rating Portal (portal.ambest.com) on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018. No exhibits have been added or deleted from the 2016 statement-year SRQ and just a limited number of exhibits have been modified.
For U.S. property/casualty (P/C), Canada P/C and international SRQ filers, a management view selection has been added to the Catastrophe Model Parameters exhibit. For U.S. P/C and international SRQ filers, the death benefit table has been updated in the Terrorism – Single Location Accumulation (Prior to Reinsurance & TRIPRA) and Terrorism – Aggregate Location Accumulation (Prior to Reinsurance & TRIPRA) exhibits. For international SRQ filers, a table for by-line Life Gross and Net Premiums Written has been added to the P/C and Health Product Segment Analysis exhibit. The exhibit also has been renamed as P/C, Life and Health Product Segment Analysis.
The 2017 statement-year SRQ also includes an Excel import process that affords users the ability to import data from an Excel file that is initially downloaded from within the portal. As an option, users can enter data into the Excel file offline and subsequently use this function to import the data into the online system. A short tutorial explaining how to use this added feature will be available in the portal when the 2017 SRQ is released.
This new tutorial will supplement the existing short tutorial videos and FAQs located in the portal, which review how to assign individuals access to specific and/or all SRQ exhibits; an overview of the Initial Questionnaire process; and accessing, completing and submitting the SRQ to A.M. Best. The portal also will contain a set of detailed instructions for specific exhibits by Feb. 12.
A.M. Best is requesting that administrators submit the completed filing within the portal by April 2, 2018. However, in the event there is an alternative fiscal year-end reporting date different from that of Dec. 31, 2017, the requested completion date generally is 10 weeks following the rated entity's fiscal year-end close.
