The LegalShield mobile app provides high value free services like free legal forms and answers to common legal questions. Starting January 2, users of the free version of the mobile app can join the same day they receive a speeding ticket and have it processed by their LegalShield law firm. In addition, the new IDShield membership begins monitoring the member's identity in the dark web immediately upon enrollment, including alerts for issues through the IDShield mobile app.

In addition to great free features, the new and enhanced legal plans give members access to their law firm at a fraction of the cost of what most lawyers charge per hour. New-for-2018, recently added additional benefits include:
- Snap a speeding ticket: In the event a non-member receives a speeding ticket, they can snap a photo of the ticket from their smartphone, become a member, and send the image directly to their law firm for handling.
- Durable Power of Attorney (POA) as part of Estate Planning: In addition to a Last Will & Testament and Living Will, new members can now appoint an agent to oversee legal and financial matters on their behalf and extend the duration of the POA in the event the member is mentally incompetent at the time it is set to expire.
IDShield is adding the additional member benefit of automatic monitoring so that members will begin to receive credit monitoring and internet monitoring as soon as they sign up, without any further action. Members will be encouraged and reminded to sign into their account and securely add additional personal identity and financial information for monitoring, but have the peace of mind knowing that at enrollment, basic monitoring has begun. With every IDShield membership, the IDShield Vault mobile application is also included. This powerful app securely manages a member’s username and password on PCs, tablets and mobile phones.
