LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Newegg, the top tech-focused e-retailer in North America, today announced that eBay China is the latest to join the roster of companies using its Newegg Logistics platform. In this partnership, Newegg Logistics will help eBay sellers in China to fulfill last-mile delivery for the retail export products that are shipped from China, as well as provide warehouse services to them in the United States.
In May 2017, Newegg took the wraps off its branded logistics solution to help e-commerce sellers and other organizations streamline their order fulfillment, shipment and returns.
“Newegg Logistics is a robust platform that can easily scale up to support sizeable organizations, as evidenced by our work with eBay China,” said Kunal Thakkar, Newegg’s SVP of Global Operations. “The beauty of our supply chain solution is it can be customized to suit any fulfillment need, no matter how specialized.”
Newegg Logistics is comprised of four key components of the fulfillment process, including forward logistics, transportation management, value-added services and reverse logistics. In the case of eBay China, Newegg is providing support in stocking and fulfilling orders for the domestic market in the U.S., as well as providing customized solutions to help exceed their customers’ expectations.
“We’re always looking for ways to bolster specific aspects of eBay’s fulfillment chain,” said Kang Zhang, Head of Global Shipping at eBay Greater China. “Newegg Logistics will help eBay sellers scale their export businesses even further, while providing buyers with quality fulfillment services.”
While Newegg Logistics as a branded solution is just months old, the platform is an aggregation of logistics best practices honed since the company’s 2001 founding. Newegg is now putting its expertise to work for companies that would prefer to outsource certain aspects of logistics.
Newegg Logistics is fully customizable and scalable, able to support companies of any size, from small niche sellers to large companies selling cross-border. And while Newegg Logistics is most commonly used by companies selling direct to customers (B2C), the solution is also ideal for B2B applications, such as distributors shipping to a broad network of sellers. With Newegg Logistics, clients large and small have real-time access to critical information such as inventory levels and in-process order data.
