RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LifeFuels today announced that it has received a CES Innovation Award in the Sports, Fitness and Biotech Category for the second time since 2016. LifeFuels’ product combines three components - a bottle, app and FuelPods - allowing consumers to create beverages on the go and tailored to their activities and goals.
The Consumer Technology Association selects Innovation Award winners based on engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, and user value. LifeFuels was judged by a panel of designers, engineers and members of the technology media.
“Winning the CES Innovation award in 2016 gave LifeFuels momentum. Winning again validates the investments we’ve made to create the most premium product possible. Bringing this unique platform to life in 2018 is a game changer,” said Jonathon Perrelli, CEO and Cofounder of LifeFuels.
Following LifeFuels’ 2016 CES Innovation Award, the company partnered with leading UK-based product consultancy DCA Design International Ltd to advance the design and functionality of the LifeFuels Bottle. With their support, LifeFuels created a sleeker product with incredibly accurate dispensing, allowing the Bottle to perfectly measure and craft beverages.
“Working with LifeFuels on this project is an exciting challenge for DCA,” said Chris Small, Lead Industrial Designer. “DCA is at the cutting-edge of design and engineering, and this project was a perfect opportunity to bring our extensive experience to an exciting new product category. We are delighted that our partnership has been recognized with the CES innovation award and cannot wait to see the defining impact LifeFuels has on the market."
LifeFuels is launching sales in early 2018. Their award-winning product will be showcased at CES 2018 from January 9th - 12th.
LifeFuels was founded in 2014, and focuses on building an ecosystem of products that support consumer wellness and performance. Its first product allows consumers to use a Bottle and FuelPods to create personalized beverages on the go - and automatically track nutrition and hydration levels via an app. LifeFuels bridges a crucial gap between nutrition and wearable technology, tracking intake and leveraging data from wearables, to provide actionable insights on nutrition and wellness.
