BEAVERTON, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In a strategic move towards connected and automated vehicle operations, Kapsch TrafficCom placed an investment worth of US$ 3 million in Traffic Technology Services, Inc. (TTS). The Delaware-based technology company and information provider is making a presence in the connected vehicle market as a supplier of quality predictive information and georeferencing near traffic control systems.
Kapsch TrafficCom’s initial investment secures operations towards deploying a worldwide V2I service, Personal Signal Assistant™. TTS launched the V2I service in December 2016, concurrent with the launch of the Audi Connect Traffic Light Information feature, and has been actively deploying the service throughout North America and Europe.
With a focus on delivering real-time predictive messages using available infrastructure, TTS is pioneering a new market for cellular-based connected and automated vehicle services. “We are excited to welcome Kapsch TrafficCom as a new shareholder of TTS.
