FRISCO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The CodeLaunch Startup Expo is a unique North Texas event. Embedded within a one-day technology, networking, and investing tradeshow is a startup competition for that is innovating entrepreneurism. It is one of the few accelerators which doesn’t require a minimally viable product (MVP) for an opportunity to pitch to investors.
The CodeLaunch competition is for software application concepts. Anyone can submit their startup idea with no cost and no surrendered equity. According to founder Jason W. Taylor, “There are many great people, with unique ideas, that struggle with product development.” CodeLaunch curates applicants from all over the world and showcases the best at the Startup Expo. “We put momentum behind great ideas and launch companies,” added Taylor.
MVP development as a benefit to winners is elementary. The CodeLaunch event is produced by Code Authority, Inc., a custom applications development company founded in 2001 by Mr. Taylor.
Over 50 exhibitors including 13 startups, other than the five finalists, will meet attendees at the Startup Expo in the Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco August 9. Among them will be CodeLaunch 2016 “winner” Park Up Front, showing off their market-ready platform.
Another 2016 participant, Matthew S. Lewis founder of North Texas startup Common Edits, will proudly debut their first product, “Crowd Remix,” and share his experience raising $600K in seed funding.
Other than investor interest, networking and valued introductions the competitors are vying for $30,000 in services provided by Code Authority, Inc., The Company, Launch Pad City, Optimus Business Plans, Drive Influence, and others.
A panel of entrepreneurial judges will recognize startups who stand out. One winner will take home a coveted weekend-long MVP hackathon provided by the Code Authority team. The competition will be emceed by the Dallas Stars Director of Corporate Development Marty Turco.
