E*TRADE Expands Lineup of Funds with 47 More Commission-Free ETFs and 1,900 More NTF Mutual Funds

Customers can build customized, diversified portfolios made entirely of commission-free ETFs

Additional no-transaction-fee (NTF) mutual funds position E*TRADE as an industry leader1 in the no-load, NTF category

NEW YORK--()--E*TRADE Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:ETFC) today announced a significant expansion of its commission-free ETF and NTF mutual fund lineup:

  • E*TRADE now offers a total of 133 commission-free ETFs and more than 4,400 NTF mutual funds.
  • Since January 3, 2017, E*TRADE has added 1,900 no-load or load waived, no-transaction-fee mutual funds, along with five new ETF providers offering certain commission-free ETFs— ETF Securities, Guggenheim Investments, IndexIQ, John Hancock, and J.P. Morgan—totaling 47 new commission-free ETFs altogether.

“The shift towards passively managed index funds and ETFs has accelerated in recent years due in part to investors’ appetite for lower cost products, understanding that fees can have an impact on their portfolio over time,” said Rich Messina, SVP of Investment Product Management at E*TRADE Financial. “We aim to provide a wide variety of passive and active products to help customers meet their needs.”
