Mobius Institute Announces the Expansion of its Scholarship Program in 2017

Mobius Institute expands its International Scholarship program four-fold with quarterly awards provided to worthy candidates wanting to become qualified vibration analysts.

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash.--()--Mobius Institute, the premier provider of reliability improvement, vibration analysis and precision maintenance courses and training products, in cooperation with the International Machine Vibration Analysis Conference (IMVAC) today announced the expansion of the Mobius Institute Scholarship Program, from three awards per year to 12 awards in 2017.

The Mobius Institute International Scholarship was launched in 2016 to provide deserving candidates access to ISO Category I and II training courses and examinations without needing to pay for education and examination fees. In addition, under the scholarship program General Awards, one Top Award recipient is selected to receive an additional benefit of an expenses-paid trip to an IMVAC conference of their choice to associate with other vibration analysts and to learn from industry experts and technology providers of vibration analysis, condition monitoring and reliability improvement.

More than 330 prospective vibration analysts applied for the scholarship during its inaugural year. With such a great interest and Mobius’ desire to help out those who need and deserve opportunity, Jason Tranter, the founder and managing director of Mobius Institute, decided to expand the program.

“Our goal in 2016 was to help three people to be trained and certified, enabling them to become practicing vibration analysts. We all know what a great service vibration analysts provide, and what a rewarding and fulfilling career it can be,” said Jason Tranter. “With such a great number of worthy applicants, we were reminded how important training and certification is to so many people. In 2017 we want to help more worthy candidates become educated and certified to realize a great career in vibration analysis.”

The Mobius Institute International Scholarship will now award three scholarships each quarter in the respective global regions of the Americas, Asia-Pacific and EMEA, throughout 2017. Of the 12 annual recipients, one will be chosen to receive the Top Award, which includes an expense-paid trip and admission to an upcoming IMVAC conference of their choice.
