Companies to gain expert advice from founders of Chef, Velocity Conference and Librato

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Heavybit, a program that helps startups take developer products to market, announced today the addition of Dana Oshiro as General Partner. Oshiro joins existing Managing Director Tom Drummond to further build Heavybit’s advisory network and support developer product companies in their go-to-market strategy.

To support Heavybit’s growing portfolio, Heavybit has also announced Chef and Velocity Conference Founder Jesse Robbins and Librato Founder Joe Ruscio have joined Heroku Founder James Lindenbaum as Part-time Partners. As Part-time Partners, the trio will regularly work with the founders of new and prospective member companies both to increase the value of Heavybit members and to grow Heavybit’s portfolio of over 30 developer product companies.

“There’s a right way to take developer products to market and it’s tough and evolving,” said Heavybit’s Drummond. “That’s why we’re excited to add partners with deep domain expertise and recent wins in developer companies. It’s their timely and industry-specific advice that we hope will mold the next Twilio or New Relic.”
